The Festival

An international festival for the art of the music video

No matter the language, genre or popularity — BMVA rewards on quality, originality and diversity.

The Berlin Music Video Awards is an international festival dedicated to filmmakers and the art of music videos. It's a key meeting point for the video and music industries in Europe.

Programming spans music-video screenings, an international jury, live performances, filmmaking workshops and networking events. The Berlin Music Video Awards is an independent festival and operates without public or governmental funding.

At its heart are four values: freedom of expression, open-mindedness, diversity and acceptance — held together by a belief in originality.

More than an awards show

Live Shows

Every year the BMVA invites musicians, DJs, dancers and other talents to perform across the days of the event. Submit your video first, then apply to perform.

Workshops

Nominees, partners and innovators in music and film give workshops each year — indoors, outdoors and on stage.

Open Air

BMVA is one big celebration. While the ceremonies run inside the venue, DJs spin in the outdoor area.

The Glittering Carpet

Our version of the red carpet — a space for press, portraits and winner interviews.

Fashion Show

We believe fashion is an integral part of the music-video world. Designers showcase alternative pieces alongside performers, directors and musicians.

Ceremonies

15 categories plus special awards, culminating in the Best Music Video grand prize of 7000 Euros.
